Palau Güell
Of course we had to visit all things Gaudi in Barcelona. The Guell Palace is a walking tour with headphones that takes you room to room and tells you the history of the Guell family and about Gaudi’s designs creating the family’s artful palace. It was such an interesting experience to see each room of the palace and to see Gaudi’s amazing artwork used in a family’s home. We walked up, bought tickets and went right in.

Parc del laberint d’horta
If you’re a fairytale lover, these gardens are a place from your dreams! This historic garden has a large maze to navigate through to reach the center. Once you get to the middle where the large statues are you still have to find your way back out! We ran around for a while trying to find our way. This garden is from the 1700’s and exceeded our expectations. The landscaping was perfect and gorgeous, it was also a bit of a surreal experience. Free on Weds & Sun (Apr-Oct). Sagrada Familia
If there is one place you must see in all of Barcelona, it is definitely Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia. Words really cannot describe the majesty of this church. Construction to build it began in the late 1800’s and it is still under construction today honoring Gaudi’s original design and dream. The intricate details and Biblical art depictions will make you speechless. Be sure to save several hours to see it all and to book your tickets at least a couple weeks in advance.

Eat amazing gelato
The best gelato we found in Barcelona was at Cocce Di Latte. It’s owners are from Italy and know how to do gelato right. We went out of our way to get gelato multiple times here and just could not get enough. All the flavors were excellent, but they have the best pistachio gelato we have had anywhere!
Address: Pla de Palau, 4, Barcelona
Parque GÜELl
Antoni Gaudi’s masterpieces are definitely the must see attractions in Barcelona. No doubt he was a creative genius, even for our time. Park Guell is large and so fun to explore. Let your imagination run wild as you walk through the park and see all of Gaudi’s colorful displays steal the attention of the crowds. Be sure to book plenty of time ahead, a few weeks at least.
